Their Sound and Formation
The Squad’s unified female sound joins Gospel, R&B, Jazz, battle chants, layered harmonies, call-and-response, victory refrains, atmospheric vocals, and supporting hooks behind Natzar and other Psalmist operations. They do not merely sing about freedom; they release sound from the memory of having been freed.
The Handmaidens train them in discipline without erasing personality, sisterhood across cultural differences, emotional and spiritual maturity, tactical coordination, vocal unity, covenant identity, protection of vulnerable young women, the difference between reacting from trauma and moving through assignment, and the transformation of testimony into responsible authority.
Shiphrah governs this training through the Hall of the Midwives. The Handmaidens oversee the Squad’s daily formation, while the Supreme Matron establishes the standards under which they mature, operate, and eventually receive greater authority.
